| The Outdoor Center has teamed up with Remote Medical International to offer this 16-hour “WFA” certification that is the standard worldwide. The Wilderness First Aid courses are hands-on, experiential format providing students with the skills and confidence for making remote medical care decisions. Remote First Aid is ideal for outdoor recreation enthusiasts, camp staff, remote site workers, and travelers who either work or play away from definitive medical facilities and support. | ||

| December 9th-11th (evening classroom sessions), 12th-13th (on the snow) Interested in Skiing or Boarding in the backcountry? Avalanche skills are a must. This industry standard certification class will teach you how to recognize avalanche terrain, and provide a framework for managing risk and making decisions. This practical course will start with three sessions in the classroom, then a weekend in the Baker Backcountry learning to apply your knowledge. | ||

| December 12th-21st The Outdoor Center has teamed up with Remote Medical International to offer this 80-hour “WFR” certification that is the standard worldwide for Outdoor Professionals. The Wilderness First Responder Course emphasizes decision-making, hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to function in remote areas, as well as providing a strong foundation to progress on to more advanced levels of training. Participants may be eligible to receive 5 credits from the University for this course. | ||
