Welcome to Western Washington University's Outdoor Center!

The Associated Students’ Outdoor Center provides a variety of outdoor-related opportunities and activities for all students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Emphasis is placed on developing and refining skills, responsible environmental practices, fostering diversity, enriching the academic experience, and promoting life-long learning. Resources include a knowledgeable staff, equipment rentals, the bike shop, excursions, educational resources, and instructional clinics.

A Bike Shop

This deal is untouchable! $2.00 gets you free use of the bike tools and the expert advice of a bike mechanic. The bike shop also sells commuting essentials (lights, fenders etc.) and replacement bike parts. If we don't have a part in stock, don't worry, we'll special order it for you.

A Rental Shop

All these great adventures to be had, and no equipment? We can set you up! We carry sea kayaks, ice axes, crampons, snowboards, telemark skis, tents for all causes, shovels, avalanche- transceivers, backpacks, snowshoes, stoves, and much more. Take advantage of the FREE FRIDAY rental special!

A Resource Area

Need info to get your trip off the ground? Maps, books, videos, magazines, THE FILE CABINET, snow conditions, weather, lunchtime movies, and more. We have a whole slew of resources. Come in and check them out!

Excursion

As you can see we run a whole bunch of different trips here at the O.C. If there is a trip you'd like to see happen, stop by and give us your suggestions. We're here for you!
